Motorists are being reminded to ensure their vehicles are in top working order as winter draws ever closer.
In an effort to encourage vehicle maintenance the Department of Infrastructure’s road safety team is offering motorists the chance to have their car’s ‘health checked’.
The darker and colder conditions mean it’s more important things like lights, tyres, wipers are regularly checked.
The health checks will be held at the Vehicle Test Centre on Ballafletcher Road, Tromode, starting tomorrow at 4pm.
Director of highways Richard Pearson says ignoring the advice can not only pose safety risks, but can in some cases result in prosecution:
