Government has confirmed it's in discussions with a wind farm company about erecting five turbines on the Island.
Pro Wind wants to invest in a manufacturing base here.It's sister company Xzeres – which builds and markets small wind powered energy turbines – is looking to set up two projects in Jurby.
Economic Development Minister John Shimmin says that the department is getting on board with the plans:
