The UK press are warning of widespread snow this week, expected to hit most of the country, with some significant snow expected for Wales and the far West of England.
Temperatures are expected to reach -10C in some places, this is due to a high pressure system hanging over Scandinavia and Western Russia.
Met Office forecaster, Colin Garshore, has said although the Island may receive a light dusting there will be no heavy snow this week.
He has warned however that temperatures will plummet and there will be some sharp frosts to contend with in the mornings.
