Ronaldsway Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for today.
The warning for coastal overtopping runs from 11.30am until 2.30pm.
Forecasters say a large spring high tide and strong winds will see large waves breaking over some exposed areas.
Particularly at risk are Shore Road in Rushen, the northern end of Douglas promenade and proms in Castletown, Laxey and Ramsey.
