Manx Utilities says it'll partly reopen the road at White Hoe tomorrow.
It says the work at the pumping station is ahead of schedule, allowing it to open one-way into Douglas which won't be reversed at the end of the day.
The Old Castletown Road will reopen at 7am tomorrow morning to the one-way traffic, alleviating tailbacks caused elsewhere by diverted vehicles.
The organisation says it hopes to fully reopen the route on Wednesday, March 25.
