Ronaldsway Met Office has confirmed last month was the wettest April on record, with more than two and half times the average amount of rainfall.
Forecasters say it was the fifth month in a row to be wetter than average - and April 9 was the wettest day since records began at the airport almost 80 years ago.
The rain also meant less sun than usual - down almost 25 hours on the average.
But April's nights were warmer than usual, by almost one degree celcius.
