Motorists are being urged to be extra careful as there’s very dangerous driving conditions this morning.
There has been over 20 millimeters of rain fall over night and gusts of 65 miles per hour.
Trees have fallen in Maughold and Sulby Glen Road is shut due to four large trees coming down during the night. Dept Of Infrastructure workers are waiting for daylight to clear the trees, they estimate the road will remain closed till mid morning.
Domestic properties have been flooded in Barregarrow and standing water is causing tricky driving conditions in Tromode, areas of Ramsey and the Mountain Road is reportedly very foggy and sleety.
The cross 4 ways section of the southern 100 course is badly flooded this morning too on the Ballabeg side of the junction as is the road from Kirk Michael to Ballacraine.
Colby has a lot of standing water and there is flooding at Alpine and by the Glen Helen.
Weather forecaster Andy Roberts says it has been persistent rain all night causing problems on the roads. (audio above)
