Manx Utilities says it's considering the idea of introducing water meters on the Island.
The organisation is due to lay its pricing review report before Tynwald during its December sitting.
The document says it's considering a variety of changes to the way electricity and water is charged for on the Island.
And it says water metering is likely to be recommended as part of a Water Resources Management Plan - Manx Utilities says a cost benefit analysis should be finished by June next year.
