A travel watchdog is urging the government to have talks with EasyJet over soaring flight prices.
TravelWatchIOM says whilst it's been encouraged by Loganair taking over routes to Liverpool following Flybe's collapse last week it's conscious of the strong public reaction to higher prices from EasyJet.
Earlier this week, the airline told 3FM it doesn't artifically increase its fares but that they're demand-led and increase closer to the departure date.
The watchdog adds whilst the government may not have the power to intervene, it may be able to influence the situation.
