Watchdog questions over ferry terminal proposals

Does the government have a backup plan as time runs out for the Steam Packet berth in Liverpool?

That's the question on the mind of passenger watchdog body Travelwatch - which says the lease on the Pier Head terminal runs out at the end of next year.

The Department of Infrastructure is planning a new terminal at Princes Half-Tide Dock, but Travelwatch says it's running out of time to build it.

The organisation's calling for the DOI to reveal its target dates for getting planning permission and building the new terminal.
