Police are warning petrolheads to make sure their cars are street legal.
Offices from the Island's Roads Policing Unit say they’re seeing more vehicles with loud exhausts and stretched tyres.
On Facebook, they point out it’s illegal to modify an exhaust to make it louder, and say stretched tyres are both illegal and dangerous.
Officers say they understand people want to tinker with their cars, but the main priority has to be road safety and cars must be street-legal at all times.
