An amber weather warning will come into force later today.
The Ronaldsway Met Office says coastal overtopping is expected between 11am-3pm.
It's due to strong to gale force winds affecting the Island, with high tide at around 1pm increasing risk of significant debris being washed onto exposed roads.
Shore Road in Rushen, as well as Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey Promenades are likely to be affected.
