The ManxSPCA took to social media after a wallaby was shot in the head.
The charity says they were called out on Tuesday March 8 after the animal had been shot and managed to hop onto a driveway in Glen Auldyn, where it collapsed.
After being taken to the vets, the wallaby had to be put down due to the extent of its injuries.
Hunting and shooting wallabies is not illegal on the Island, as they are not classed as an indigenous species and therefore are not protected under the Wildlife Act.
The MSPCA is asking people promote wallabies as a wonderful addition to our Manx countryside, and let natural selection control the population.
