A new volunteer organisation has been formed to take care of the Islands footpaths.
'Footpath Friends' is an initiative supported by the Department of Infrastructure and will repair and maintain public rights of way and will also be regularly assisted by individuals on community service.
Founder of charity Beach Buddies, Bill Dale, proposed the initial idea in 2018 and says it's making 'tangible' difference to Manx pathways and hopes it will attract more volunteers to get involved.
Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK, adds its a 'great example' of collaborative work between officials and communities.
