Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer wants volunteers to help improve green lanes across the Island.
In the House of Keys this week he was asked by Garff MHK Daphne Caine about the pedestrian and bike-friendly paths.
In response, he said although the lanes are open to horse riders and bikers the quality of the paths needs improvement, and is encouraging members of the public to help.
Mr Harmer said he hopes the initiative can work like the successful scheme Beach Buddies which sees Island residents willingly clean the Island's coastline.
