A Douglas woman will be sentenced next month after spitting at police and telling them she had AIDS.
39-year- old Wilma Dotsey, of Cushag Road, became "hostile and volatile" towards the officers as they tried to arrest her in the early hours of April 8th.
They'd been called to an apartment on Snugborough Avenue after a taxi driver complained a group of people hadn't paid a fare.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday, Dotsey admitted resisting a police officer in the execution of their duty.
The court heard it had taken three officers to try and restrain her - with Dotsey fighting attempts to handcuff her.
Leg restraints were used to bring her under control and she was put in the police van - once inside Dotsey removed her clothing and underwear and retrieved a cigarette lighter.
She then lit a piece of paper, starting a fire in the van, and pushed the paper into the vehicle's door lock - officers eventually used PAVA incapacitant spray in a bid to subdue her.
Social Enquiry Reports have been requested before she's sentenced on August 17; she's been bailed until that date.
