Motorists Fails to Stop for Visually Impaired Man on Pedestrian Crossing
Police are appealing for witnesses after a visually impaired man was nearly hit by a reckless motorist who failed to stop as he crossed a pedestrian crossing.
The unknown vehicle was travelling from the Whitestone pub towards St Marks, the pedestrian was half way across the road at the time of the near accident.
It’s thought the motorist was not adhering to the 20 mph speed limit in place.
Luckily the man sustained no injuries, police now want to hear from anyone with information and urge people to obey the speed restrictions.
