The painting of double yellow lines outside Noble's Hospital has begun.
The government is asking members of the public who are visiting the hospital to park in a designated parking bay or overflow car park to prevent delays to the work.
The lines are to ensure that emergency vehicles can access the site easily and safely at all times as the way cars are currently parking is causing difficulty.
Work is expected to take around four weeks, depending on the weather.
