Restrictions are in place on visits to the Maternity Unit at Noble's Hospital.
Government has confirmed no visiting will be allowed at the antenatal and postnatal wards at this time, however a support person can be brought to scan appointments and a birthing partner will be permitted once labour is established, for the birth of the baby and for a short period of time after the birth.
Officials insist, despite the visiting restrictions, care for pregnant mothers is continuing as normal and that all measures in place are to protect mothers and their babies from Covid-19 risks.
Health and Social Care Minister, David Ashford MHK, says: "the team at the Jane Crookall maternity unit treats all women as individuals with a tailored plan put in place to support the mother both physically and emotionally during their pregnancy and delivery particularly during this worrying time with COVID restrictions."
Anyone who does enter the hospital is reminded that face coverings are mandatory - any mums who have questions can contact the their community midwife on 650 327 or the main ward on 650 030.
