The Island's top police officer says the Department of Economic Development forgot about safety as it pursued a TT promoter.
On Friday, Chief Constable Gary Roberts gave evidence to a Tynwald committee investigating the failed Vision Nine deal, which would have seen the company take over as TT and Classic TT promoter.
Mr Roberts told the hearing he'd been at a presentation the firm gave about how it planned to massively expand the events and increase the number of visitors coming to them.
But he revealed he hadn't shared the department's enthusiasm for the deal:
