The Department of Home Affairs has welcomed the conviction of 25-year-old Sagar Joon.
Mr Joon was a key figure in an international crime group that exploited the Isle of Man’s immigration system through fake visa schemes.
He admitted conspiring to facilitate unlawful entry by producing fraudulent job offers and certificates.
The scam saw victims charged up to £25,000 for non-existent jobs.
Justice Minister Jane Poole-Wilson said the case sends a clear message that immigration abuse will not be tolerated.
Mr Joon is due to be sentenced on November 5.
