An event to encourage and support people to stay safe online is launching today.
CyberIsle 2020 will take place virtually this year and will run throughout October, aiming to raise awareness of the steps that can be taken at home, at work and within the community to combat cyber security threats, with practical tools and insights.
Free to get involved with, the event will see industry speakers from both and off-Island provide expert knowledge on key areas around our online lives with short webinars to be released each day on a variety of subjects linked to cyber security and safety.
Minister for Home Affairs, Graham Cregeen MHK, says: "This free event will provide the public, businesses and organisations with practical and useful insight, advice and guidance - from parents wanting to know more about keeping their children safe online to businesses interested in the mitigation of cyber-attacks.
"The Isle of Man Government is continuously updating its approach to policing in an era of rapid digital advancement."
This week will see the conference focusing on the topic of social media, next week (October 5-9) will see discussion on Security & Risk, whilst the final week (October 12-16) will cover Incident Management.
The webinars throughout the next few weeks will be published on the Isle of Man Government's website and social media channels.
