What contribution does recreational angling make to the Island's economy?
A new survey - being run by Aesculus Consulting on behalf of DEFA - is aiming to find out and wants to hear from those who are involved in the activity.
The consultation, which people answer anonymously, also wants to see what benefit the pursuit has on health and wellbeing for residents.
Officials say comprehensive studies have been carried out in the UK that allow certain assumptions on the value of angling per angler, per angling type and per angling effort, but the Isle of Man has many unique attributes and angler behaviours.
They add the intention of this survey is to identify these unique attributes to better inform an assessment of the value of angling to the economic and the population
Those wanting to take part can do so online, with a link to the survey available here.
