A video purporting to show armed men hijacking a Manx-owned ship is fake news, according to one of the world's leading news agencies.
Footage on Instagram this week claimed to show Yemen rebels boarding the Galaxy Leader cargo ship in the Red Sea earlier this month.
However, Reuters fact-checked the video and found it was shot in June last year, with armed men shouting in Polish from motorboats flying Polish flags.
This month, those responsible for the hijacking released a video of the seizure, and the vessel in that video doesn't resemble the one on Instagram.
