Victoria Road Prison Items to be Auctioned
Items from the old Victoria Road Prison are to be auctioned off to the public in March.
Come March 12th any eager bidders will be able to get their hands on some genuine Victorian prison cell doors, as well as numerous other artefacts rescued from the scrap heap.
It’s thought the doors for cells 4 and 5, known as the Condemned Man’s Cell will be hot favourites when they go under the hammer.
Other artefacts up for sale include the board beds from the isolation rooms, and then lots of office equipment and CCTV cameras.
The Public Viewing will be from 9.30am until 4.30pm on Thursday 11th March, bids must be registered during viewing – the sale will take place at the prison itself.
