Licence discs for vehicles on Island are not currently being issued.
The Department of Infrastructure says it's because of restrictions currently in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Officials add the Police have been informed the discs aren't being used and authorities are now using central data to check whether vehicles are taxed.
The department says drivers should still use the code supplied after accessing the online renewals service - those not able to use the service over the internet are asked to call the Isle of Man Post Office Licensing on 698 525 to sort it over the phone.
