Vandals target Tynwald National Park

This plaque has been stolen

A call for vigilance has gone out following reports of significant vandalism to one of the Island's most popular beauty spots.

The Tynwald National Park and Arboretum recently had an historical plaque stolen, a commemorative tree destroyed and grass damaged by fire.
 
The granite plaque was unveiled by King Olav of Norway when he visited the park in Millennium Year, 1979. The ruined tree was dedicated to a late member of forestry staff.
