Images have emerged of a van on fire in the Baldrine area this morning.
It's understood the incident has taken place near to the Liverpool Arms site.
No official word has been provided yet by the constabulary about the situation but the road has been closed.
Meanwhile, Isle of Man Transport says buses cannot serve the area as a result and are being diverted via Groudle until further notice.
