A van driver who seriously injured a man he hit on a pedestrian crossing will be sentenced in March.
Martin Huxley of Brookhill Road in Ramsey was due to appear before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
However, he was excused attendance because of the current coronavirus lockdown.
At a previous hearing, the 43 year old admitted causing serious bodily harm by driving without due care and attention on Woodbourne Road in Douglas on October 12 last year.
His victim was left with a broken nose, cheekbone and eye socket and suffered a bleed on his brain which caused severe seizures.
Mrs Hughes adjourned the case until March 2 and bailed Huxley until that date.
