Vaccination clinics open for 16 – 17 year olds

The first vaccination clinics for 16 and 17 year olds will open this weekend.

Teens will be able to get their Pfizer vaccine either this Saturday or next Tuesday.

The Chester Street Hub - where the vaccinations are taking place - will be open from 11am - 3pm on Saturday (August 21) or 2.30pm - 4pm next Tuesday.

People can turn up without a booking, but need to be registered with 111 and have I.D.

Those aged 16 - 17 who are household contacts of an immunosuppressed person will be invited to register in the coming days.

Gov't is encouraging everyone to register for vaccination to reduce their risk of being hospitalised should they contract COVID-19.
