The Water and Sewerage Authority and Manx Electricity Authority are to become a combined entity.
Yesterday proposals to merge the two bodies were approved by Tynwald – resulting in the formation of the Manx Utilities Authority.
The change will take effect from April 1st.
The chairman of the MEA says he is confident the merger is the best possible solution going forward to serve the Island.
