A man who rode past police on an uninsured and untaxed scooter had an expired driving licence, a court’s heard.
Kyle Young of Rowany Villas in Port Erin appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted having no tax, no insurance and no driving licence on June 3 on Station Road in Port Erin.
The court heard police spotted the 32-year-old on the Peugeot Speedfight at around 1.30pm near Bridson Street, and later received a tipoff saying the vehicle wasn’t taxed.
Checks later found the tax had run out four months earlier, and his driving licence was more than 18 months out of date.
Magistrates fined him a total of £910 and ordered him to pay £50 costs as well as putting six penalty points on his licence.
