University courses available on-Island for health students

A new partnership between the Department of Health and the University of Chester has seen the creation of a major new initiative for healthcare in the Isle of Man.

From the start of the next academic term, people can now study for a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing entirely in the Isle of Man.

Health Minister David Anderson told 3FM he was delighted at the new opportunity for Manx people interested in a career in healthcare.

He also explained how this will open up new opportunities for students here and how this will benefit the health system (see audio).
