The Island's assisted dying law has finally been given Royal Assent.
At the start of this month's Tynwald sitting, president Juan Watterson announced the bill had been signed off in the UK on Friday, October 16.
The legislation allows terminally ill people to choose to end their life with medical assistance, with conditions and safeguards.
But the government says the laws won't come into effect immediately - it says it still needs to look at practical, clinical and safeguarding arrangements.
