Unemployment rises to 2% over June

Unemployment levels rose on the Island over the month of June to a rate of 2% of economically active population.

During the period 243 signed on and 203 signed off, of the total out of work just over 600 are males and 242 are females.

The Job Centre have said that a total of 543 vacancies were notified to them at the end of the month, 272 positions were still vacant and held on file.
