Local authorities have teamed up with charity Northern Men in Sheds to launch a scheme which repairs old furniture, tools and appliances.
Doulas Council says it'll be the Manx equivalent of the BBC One programme The Repair Shop.
A three-month trial will see uncollected items at the Eastern Civic Amenity site in Braddan set aside instead of tossed in a skip.
Organisers say the aim is to cut waste and encourage a sustainable alternative to throwaway culture.
