A man from the UK who drove off the ferry drunk and in defiance of a driving ban is appealing against his jail term.
Arya Askari, also known as Asim Dawood, was jailed for a total of 15 months for driving while disqualified and drink-driving on February 27 as he got off the Manxman.
He was sent to prison after Deemster Cook noted he had five previous convictions for drink-drive-related offences and eight for driving while banned.
Askari will appear before Judge of Appeal Cross, Deemster Pratt and Deemster Farrell on Wednesday June 11.
