UK anti-abortion group plans Douglas demos

UK anti-abortion campaigners who target people visiting clinics will be demonstrating in Douglas this week.

Members of Abort67, set up by the US-based Centre for Bioethical Reform, are on the Island as Tynwald members consider changing the Island's laws.

The pro-life protest group holds propaganda displays outside abortion clinics - something that would be outlawed on the Island under the proposed legislation.

Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson says he expects to bring his private members bill before parliament next year.
