Tynwald members who get booted out after an election will be paid four months salary no matter their age in future, if the court votes in new measures.
At present, members who unsuccessfully stand for re-election only get the resettlement grant - worth more than £30,000 - if they're under pensionable age.
However, after a legal challenge found those rules discriminated against older people, new rules are being introduced.
They'll be discussed by Tynwald members when it sits later this month.
