Tynwald president's 'truly memorable' OBE honour

The President of Tynwald has described receiving an OBE medal as a 'truly memorable occasion'.

Steve Rodan MLC was appointed with the honour in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours List for outstanding service and dedication to the Isle of Man.

He received his medal from Prince Charles at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace last Wednesday (February 5) with his family also in attendance.

Mr Rodan adds the Prince of Wales also spoke with him of his past visits to the Island and presiding over the Tynwald Day service in St Johns several years ago.
