The 26th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth is taking place until January 6 and is hosted by the Australian Parliament in Canberra.
Laurence Skelly MLC has joined delegates from 42 Commonwealth countries, and is supported by the Clerk of Tynwald, Jonathan King.
The event aims to promote understanding of parliamentary democracy and develop parliamentary institutions.
