Tynwald has unanimously approved plans to drastically reduce single use plastic across government.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot presented the scheme, in the hopes of ending unnecessary use by January 2021.
The plans include an immediate action plan - targeting prohibiting balloon releases and minimising plastic at events.
It'll include single use straws, plastic cutlery and plates and cotton buds.
