Two to get New Year Honours

Two people from the Isle of Man have been included in the Queen’s New Year Honours List.

The honours system recognises people who have made achievements in public life or committed themselves to serving and helping Britain.

Mark Shimmin will become a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to the Manx Government and economy.

Michal Kewley will receive the British Empire Medal for services to local government and the community.
