Two men from Peel made history as the first people to appear in Manx courts being prosecuted on behalf of King Charles III.
39 year old Paul Kirk McCarthy of Factory Lane and 45 year old Neil Brent Thomas of Marine Parade appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
McCarthy denied using provoking behaviour on January 1, while Thomas pleaded not guilty to disorderly behaviour on the same date.
Both men agreed to be bound over to keep the peace for 12 months in the sum of £500 and the charges were marked dismissed after prosecutor Hazel Carroon offered no evidence in the case.
