Two men have appeared in court charged with being part of a drug gang that shipped up to £220,000 of cocaine and cannabis to the Island.
James Spotswood of Townsend Street in Birkenhead and Matthew James Woods of Saddle Road in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
34 year old Spotswood has pleaded guilty to being concerned in producing cannabis and cocaine on June 6 last year, and indicated no plea to a further charge of producing cocaine on August 6.
22 year old Woods has admitted producing cocaine on August 6 last year but denies allegations of producing cannabis and cocaine last June.
The court heard the case involved more than a kilo of cocaine and almost four kilos of cannabis with a street value of between £100,000 and £221,000.
Both were remanded in custody - Spotswood will appear again on April 27 while Woods is next due in court on May 25.
