A pilot mental health scheme is launching at two GP practices in the next 12 months.
The Mental Health First Contact Practitioner service will start at Peel Group Practice and Southern Group Practice, aiming to provide access to mental health services for patients experiencing mental health problems.
FCPs offer specialist mental health advice and ensure patients don't fall between the gaps in services. as well as provision of short-term psychological interventions.
Manx Care says that once the pilot has been assessed, it'll consider if it should be available across the Island.
