TV Documentary Follows Ramsey School Girls Rise To Fame

A Ramsey schoolgirl is the subject of a BBC Three TV documentary which is being broadcast tonight. (Thursday)

Rebecca Flint has become a teen icon and internet sensation in Japan, where she is known as 'Beckii Cruel.'

The 15 year old became famous after uploading videos of herself dancing on YouTube, and getting millions of hits worldwide.

Since being approached by a Japanese music manager, she has recorded five singles, released her own DVD and appeared on Japans biggest TV shows.

The past year in the life of the Ramsey Grammer pupil has caught the attention of international media, with her alter ego name making headlines across the globe.

The story documents that past few months of Beckii's life, and being a schoolgirl superstar.

Her dad Derek Flint who's a police Inspector on the Isle of Man says that her there have been many critics on Beckki's rise to fame, which her father says will be explored in the documentary. (audio above)
