The Fire and Rescue Service says it dealt with a blaze caused by hot clothes in Ballasalla this morning.
On Facebook, firefighters say they were called to a house after clothes that had been taken out of a tumble dryer caught light in a bedroom.
The service says it can happen because of residual oils left in clothing.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
