A course map taken from the TT scoreboard has been returned.
An appeal was launched this week by the Department for Enterprise Motorsport Team after the item had gone missing from Glencrutchery Road last weekend.
However, the motorsport team says they and Police accepted the explanation that the map was removed by a well-meaning individual who thought he was operating with the authority to remove it before the scoreboard was demolished.
Meanwhile, authorities have reiterated removing items from the scoreboard is a criminal offence and will be treated as such.
