Manx Utilities says it's finished carrying out planning assessments in the north of the Island for a potential solar farm.
But in an update on its website, the organisation says the Balladoole project is currently on hold.
It says discussions about other possible uses of the site are currently taking place.
And it adds says it's also screening other sites, with site visits and technical assessments to find other locations that could be suitable for solar generation.
